This sensitive microphone mounted on a 1.1 m long acrylic tube enables the characteristics of a standing wave in a pipe to be both studied and demonstrated.
It is particularly suited to the Lascells Resonance Tubes: LA50-350 and LA50-356. The probe lead plugs into an interface box (included) which provides the signal for display on an oscilloscope, or for monitoring on an AC voltmeter. As the probe is moved along the tube, nodes and antinodes can be clearly shown and located, enabling wave calculations to be made very easily.
