Immerse the test strip about 1/2″ into the solution to be tested for 1-2 seconds. Remove the test strip, and shake off any excess liquid. Compare the test pad to the color chart within 30 seconds.
To use it, you immerse it in the material or solution, wait for the number of seconds listed on the instructions, remove the paper and compare the color change to a scale. The scale will tell you if the substance is acidic or alkaline, and to what degree.
The colors from yellow to red indicate an acidic solution, colours blue to violet indicate an alkaline solution and a green colour indicates that a solution is neutral. Universal indicator components. Indicator. Low pH colour.
